Greg Peterson is a Senior Business Advisor and a licensed CPA with over 22 years of professional experience in accounting and finance roles. As an Audit Manager with KPMG's Norfolk, Virginia practice, Greg oversaw financial statement audits for a portfolio of both private and public companies spanning an array of industries, including manufacturing, retail, construction, media, education and others. He then served as Controller and Director of Finance for an Accenture-owned startup IP broadcast company located in Weehawken, New Jersey. Greg subsequently joined Martin Marietta Materials' corporate headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina as an Internal Audit Manager, during which time he led teams in executing a variety of corporate, compliance and field audits for the S&P 500 aggregates company.
As a licensed North Carolina real estate broker, Greg has additionally facilitated the sales of more than 55 residential homes in North Carolina. Through his collective experience, Greg brings a unique portfolio of expertise to each business he assists in developing an exit plan. Some of his skill set offerings include financial statement analysis, strategy development, process improvement, risk management, marketing and negotiation strategies.
Greg earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia, and a Master of Accounting from East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. He is currently an active member of both the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA) and the Carolina Virginia Business Brokers Association (CVBBA).
A true believer in giving back to the community, Greg's ongoing and prior service roles include Rotary Club President, Treasurer of his HOA Board of Directors, PTA President/Vice President at his children's elementary school, various church roles and many others.
Greg shares three children with his wife Mandi, and their family is completed by their Rhodesian Ridgeback, Nash. Together, Greg and his family enjoy traveling, trips to the mountains and beaches of NC, sporting events and spending time with extended family and friends.
